Thursday night, prior to the Kings hosting (and massacring) the Phoenix Coyotes, the Kings and Mister Cartoon  hosted a private media only unveiling of their latest collaboration. The Kings have entrusted and given Cartoon the honor of re-envisioning their merchandise with his own signature twist. The line of Mister Cartoon X LA Kings merchandise will include T-shirts and hats for men, women, and youth and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Para Los Ninos (For the Children), a 33-year-old non-profit organization benefiting 7,500 children and families each year.

quickCartoon also airbrushed a goalie mask that will be worn by Jonathan Quick during an upcoming game in which the artwork represents in Cartoons words “the juxtaposition of battle as the Kings defend their city on the ice this season.”

“The Kings are thrilled to be collaborating with Mister Cartoon – this is a pairing of two Los Angeles icons,” said Luc Robitaille, Kings President of Business Operations. “We look forward to celebrating this merchandise line.”

Mister Cartoon: “This project hits home to me in many special ways. From growing up as a fan of the Kings and driving past the arena they used to play at, to the classic script on the caps worn by fashion forward kids and Kings fans, the Kings are Los Angeles, the Kings are a cornerstone of Los Angeles street heritage. This opportunity is an honor.” CartoonandLuc01
