Possibly the saddest game of the season for any hockey fan is the last game of the regular season. If your team made the playoffs, than you still have some games to hope for; in the event that they didn’t… well you can start the countdown clock to October now.
The majority of the NHL wraps up the regular season today and some teams will look forward to the small reprieve before looking for glory during the Stanley Cup playoffs kicking off April 11th.

The Boston Bruins will play host to Buffalo this afternoon at 4pm for the season ending tradition of “Fan Appreciation Night” and a few lucky fans will win the “Shirts of Our Backs”, that’s right the game worn, still sweaty sweater from one of your favorites!
For Bruins nation and any other playoff team, today might be the last time you see clean shaven faces as most of the players support the no shaving playoff policy. By the time the finals skated into Boston last year, it was practically impossible to decipher the Bruins bear mascot from the players themselves.
The end is here and the excitement of the playoffs is near!

Winter was hooked on hockey by age 6, when she first witnessed a bench clearing brawl between the Boston Bruins and the Ottawa Senators. Growing from hockey fan to hockey player, Winter followed her passions by founding The Pink Puck. While she also loves fashion and the outdoors, hockey will always be her center ice.
