Jaromir JagrWhile an official announcement has yet to be made, sources are reporting that the Dallas Stars have dealt 41-year-old Jaromir Jagr to the Boston Bruins for Lane MacDermid, Cody Payne and a conditional 2013 draft pick. Jagr currently leads the Stars with 14 goals, while lacing up for 34 of 35 games with Dallas.

The trade will bring some added relief and loads of excitement to Boston’s faithful fans. Boston was looking for change and a glimmer of hope after a deal with Calgary and Jarome Iginla fell through late last week. While Boston will suit up to take on the Ottawa Senators at home tonight, Jagr will most likely be taking the ice as a Bruin against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday
