Bruins Finally Make Moves, Ink M.Subban and Marchand
It’s been a relatively quiet summer for the Boston Bruins on the transactions front. But there is no time like the present to start inking deals for the black and gold. Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli did just that, signing goaltender Malcom Subban to an entry-level contract. Subban was drafted 24th-overall at the 2012 NHL Draft, raising chatter among Boston faithful due to his somewhat notorious last name. For those of you unfamiliar, Subban’s brother P.K. has had quite the history with Boston while playing for the Montreal Canadiens.
One player in specific that hasn’t necessarily been a fan of P.K. Subban throughout the seasons; Bruins Brad Marchand. The two have had on ice history, one hit in particular that started the “bad blood”:

Hits aside, Marchand brings quite the presence to the Bruins locker room; a presence that will remain in Boston for at least another 4 seasons. It was announced today that Marchand was signed to a 4-year, $4.5M annually contract extension. If the Bruins capture another cup during that time, perhaps fans will get to see Marchand gracing the stage while rapping this beauty: [tubepress video=”3u8yRDkdJOE”]
