Tis’ the Season: NHL Transactions Update
Tis’ the season for trades, signings, retirements and self benching?
A quick NHL recap:
Bruins sign Daniel Paille to a 3 year, 1.3 million annually contract, that puts Paille in the black and yellow through the 2014-15 season.
Bruins also signed Chris Bourque son of legend Ray Bourque to a two-year deal. Bourque’s contract is two-way for the 2012-13 season worth $550,000 NHL, $200,000 AHL; in the second year of the contract (2013-14) it will be one-way $550,000
Bruins will also say a temporary goodbye to goaltender Tim Thomas, as he’s elected to sit out the 2012-13 season. Thomas is looking to focus of friends, family and faith.
Red Wings Nicklas Lidstrom retires. Penguins acquire Tomas Vokoun (G) from the Capitals for a 2012 seventh-round draft pick.
