Not only did the Bruins beat the Flyers 3-2 in a shootout and break their 4 game losing streak; but they re-signed resident tough guy Shawn Thornton to a 2 year contract extension worth 1.1M a year. Not a bad way to ring in St. Patrick’s Day in Beantown for the on ice resident tough guy and fan favorite.
