New Jersey did the impossible Saturday night handing the Kings their first loss away from Staples Center this postseason. With a first star rating and 25 saves, Martin Brodeur lead the Devils to a 2-1 victory and dashed LA’s historical dreams of not only 11 straight road game victories but also their first franchise Cup. Zach Parise and Bryce Salvador both scored for NJD to fight off elimination. New Jersey is only the third team to force a Game 6 after falling behind 3-0 in the series. The Devils will continue their epic battle-back Monday in LA.
