It seems the Kings are unstoppable away from home beating New Jersey 2-1 in overtime and taking Game 1 of the Cup finals. With Wednesday’s win, LA improves to 9-0 away from Staples Center this postseason; the nine consecutive road wins are the most in a single playoff year in NHL history. Anze Kopitar’s fancy stick work beat Martin Brodeur 8:13 into OT sealing LA’s victory. Jonathan Quick posted 16 saves for the Kings while Devils’ Brodeur turned away 23 shots. The Kings will try to keep the streak alive on Saturday for Game 2.
