The New Jersey Devils triumphed in a rematch 18 years in the making. The Rangers fell to NJD 3-2 in overtime ending their chance at the cup. With no Messier to make promises of victory, New Jersey took the Blueshirts in 6, finishing off the top seed. Martin Broduer, the only player left from the ’94 series, made 32 saves in the win. The Devils make their fifth trip to Stanley hosting LA for Game 1 on Wednesday.
