Coyotes survive to howl another day

Thanks to Mike Smith’s 36 saves and Shane Doan’s two goal game, the Coyotes can bay at the Arizona moon on Tuesday for Game 5. Smith recorded his third career shutout in the 2-0 victory narrowly escaping elimination. Maybe the solar eclipse or the bustle around the Staples Center raddled Kings’ near-perfect goalie Jonathan Quick who let in two on 21 shots. Sunday afternoon’s defeat was only the second loss in 13 games for 8th seeded LA.
