Rangers head of the heap

For the first time in 15 years the New York Rangers are in the conference finals. Just 92 seconds into the game Brad Richards scored for the Blueshirts; fitting as the team to tally first has won all previous six match-ups. In a series decided by one goal for the sixth straight time the Rangers edged ahead 2-1, taking the Caps and forging to the next round. New York will host the Devils on Monday for Game 1 of the Eastern conference final.
