The goals totaled 5 on the 5th May as the Caps celebrated Cinco de Mayo in formidable fashion winning 3-2 over the Rangers in Washington. Coming off their triple overtime loss, Washington pushed through outshooting New York in the first period 14-3. Braden Holtby, who hasn’t lost back to back starts since last season, made 18 saves in the win. Alex Ovechkin’s limited ice-time has proved profitable; OV grabbed the first goal of the game for the Caps. The teams head to New York Monday for Game 5 at Madison Square Garden.
