Playoff hockey never disappoints. And with three out of four games going into OT, it was definitely an exciting Thursday. In case you missed the action, here’s a brief recap:

Rangers rough up Sens

The Eastern top seed Rangers took game one against Ottawa in New York. Henrik Lundqvist’s 30 saves lead to the Rangers’ 4-2 win at home. New York is on the hunt for their first playoff series win since 2008. The two meet again Saturday night.

Sharks bite Blues

San Jose came out on top of double overtime versus St. Louis. Martin Havlat scored the game winner to take the Blues 3-2. The Sharks lead the series and play again in St. Louis Saturday night.

Boston beats Caps

Boston scored the lone goal in overtime for a 1-0 win over Washington. Tim Thomas was named third star in the winning effort making 17 saves and recording his sixth career playoff shutout.

Coyotes fall to Blackhawks

Marin Hanzal scored in overtime for Phoenix to take game one against Chigago. The Blackhawks scored with seconds
