Toronto dropped their last game of the season 4-1 at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Saturday. Dion Phaneuf scored the lone goal for the Maple Leafs who finish with a disappointing 35-37-10 record. Toronto ends the dive situated just two points ahead of the Northeast Division last place Habs. It is the first time since 2006-2007 that the Canadiens will miss post season play. The lack luster match up finale was probably not what schedulers had in mind posting this late season game. Instead of the excitement of two predicted playoff bound teams battling it out, both Toronto and Montreal have the Draft Lottery basement to look forward to on Tuesday. But, there’s always the Blue Jays home opener… and golf.
