The Boston Bruins have done the impossible and won 2 games in a row! That seems to be the tagline on every article circulating the Boston media today. The team had suffered an extremely rocky February but it’s looking like full steam ahead with back to back games this weekend.

Tomorrow the Bruins will play host to the Capitals for a matinee match-up before heading down to Pennsylvania to take on the Penguins and possibly the return of Crosby on Sunday. While preparation is key, so is rest. The Bruins had an optional skate this morning in Wilmington with about half the team participating in the 30 minute on ice shoot around. Two on ice notables; both Andrew Ferrence and Daniel Paille skated with the team this morning. Although no verbal  “go” was given for their return this weekend, the possibility is certainly there.

Running various shooting drills, including the shoot out itself; the main focus of today’s practice looked to be on the Bruins newest goaltender Marty Turco, and the continued efforts to get him comfortable between the posts. While Coach Julien was hesitant to give an exact start date for Turco, he did make note of the progress he’s been making; opting for the age old sentiment of “everyday is better than the last”.

Post practice videos from Chris Kelly, Jordan Caron, Marty Turco and Claude Julien.
